Senators Introduce Bill Focused on Rural Students
Inside Higher Education reports that two U.S. Senators -- Susan Collins (R-ME) and Maggie Hassan (D-NH) -- have introduced a bill to "create a demonstration program designed to encourage groups in rural communities to partner together to encourage students to pursue higher education, graduate and enter the workforce."
From Sen. Hassan's press release: This "bipartisan bill would help rural students reach their higher education goals and connect them with employment opportunities in their hometowns."
The bill was introduced in the U.S. Senate last week.
