Report: College Donations Have Increased

Inside Higher Education is reporting that a new Voluntary Support for Education (VSE) survey shows donations to colleges and universities increased by more than 7% from 2017 to 2018, and that donations to higher education institutions reached the highest amount recorded by the VSE survey. At the same time, however, "overall giving to educational institutions, including K-12 and higher education, declined for the first time after four years of growth by 1.3 percent and 3.7 percent, respectively, adjusted for inflation," according to Inside Higher Ed.
