House of Representatives Subcommittee Releases Bill with Funding Increases for Key Funding Agencies

The Democratically-controlled U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on the Interior, Environment and Related Agencies (a subcommittee of the House Appropriations Committee) has released a bill that includes more than $12 million of increased funding for the National Endowment for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Humanities. Andrew Kreighbaum of Inside Higher Education writes that these two federal agencies "are the biggest supporters of humanities research on college campuses."
