Yesterday the U.S. Department of Labor released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking for a new apprenticeship system, Inside Higher Education reports. Paul Fain of Inside Higher Education also reports that some congressional Democrats are critical of the proposed rule "in part over concerns that they will lack requirements such as the mandatory wage increases for workers that are included in the federally registered program."
