Inside Higher Education reports that President Joe Biden's Department of Education is unlikely to continue a practice started by the Trump Education Department of investigating institutions that allow transgender women to compete in athletic programs with cisgender women.
From Inside Higher Education: "As the national debate over whether transgender athletes should be able to compete as women continues to rage, a spokeswoman for the Education Department under the Biden administration didn’t explicitly answer last week when asked if the department had changed the stance taken by the Trump administration a few months ago. Still, legal experts and advocacy groups on both sides of the debate said they expect the department under the new administration to take a different position on allowing transgender athletes to compete."
